The United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention issued a legal opinion condemning the continued detention of prominent Tunisian judge Bechir Akremi. The Working Group deemed his detention arbitrary and a flagrant violation of international standards, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
